Volunteer Requirements and Volunteer Encouragement Checks

Volunteering is required for all families and is essential to the success of our team.  If your child swims in a meet, a member of your family (adult) must volunteer.  We have lots of positions, and there is something for everyone.  We cannot run meets without you - if you fail to meet your volunteer obligations by the end of the season there is a mandatory fine of $250.

A $250 VEC check is collected from each family prior to the first practice to encourage families to volunteer. This check can be given to the LMF Treasurer or any LMF Board Member prior to the start of the season or on the first day of practice. Your child cannot participate in practices until your VEC check is received. The check is held by the team (not cashed) and if your family meets your volunteer requirements, your check will be destroyed at the conclusion of the season. If you do not meet your volunteer requirements your check will be cashed and you may be asked not to return to the team in subsequent years. You will be notified prior to cashing your check.
